The Swim & Snorking With Zanzibar Dolphin In Their Natural Environment
Dolphin safari offers Tourists the experience of a lifetime, a chance to swim with dolphins in their natural habitat. The seashore of the fishing village Kizimkazi is the home of several pods of humpback and bottlenose dolphins. The dolphins are officially protected by the 420 km2 Menai Bay Conservation Area, which was set up in 1997 to stop the rapid depletion of fish stocks.
This half day guided excellent Sea Adventure excursion begins when you are picked up from your hotel or ant Entry points and transferred by road to the fishing village Kizimkazi about 45 kilometers away. You will be given briefing on the day excursion before to board the dhows (Boat) and set off in search of the dolphins (80% chances) of seeing and swim with them.
The species frequently found at bay are of spinner and bottlenose dolphins’ type. You will swim with dolphins if they stay close by to the boat (Not guaranteed to swim with them ), but is unlikely to be able to touch the dolphins as they are of course wild animals. You will then go on to one of the selected snorkeling locations. Here you will snorkel while accompanied by a snorkeling guide to show points of interest and to assist with beginners. Snorkeling equipment will be provided on hire throughout .
You will then get back to the Village for very excellent lunch or ride the boat to one of the sand bank if time permit for delicious Sea food lunch or dinner . Meals is a traditional Zanzibari Swahili Cuisine and typically includes a selection of barbecued fish, rice, lentils and fish curry. Chilled fresh fruit juice, mineral water and bottled soft drinks are available throughout the day at sell unless if including in our packages. After all excursions been done you shall then transfer back to the hotel and if time permits you can stop over at the Jozani Monkeys forest to chill out and shack hands with rare red Columbus Monkeys.
