What to pack for safari

Pack for changing conditions and simple comfort.

Choose comfortable layers, a sun hat, sunglasses and shoes suited to your planned activities. Mornings and evenings can feel cool, especially at altitude. A light rain layer can be useful.

Bring your regular medicines, personal toiletries, camera essentials, spare batteries and a reusable water bottle. Ask your accommodation about charging and laundry.

Confirm baggage allowances before packing for light-aircraft transfers. Trekking requires a separate equipment plan with your qualified mountain guide. Ask a health professional about health-related supplies for your own circumstances.
